A. Given the equation 2(3x − 4) = 5x + 6, solve for the variable

First, you would distribute 2 into the parentheses so you would have 6x-8= 5x+6. Subtract 5x from both sides so you have x-8=6. Finally, add 8 to both sides which leaves you with x= 14
