the formula for sucrose is C12H22O11 with a molecular mass of approx 342g/mol
% mass of C = 12(12) / 342 × 100% = 42.1%
% mass of H = 22(1) / 342 × 100% = 6.43%
% mass of O = 11(16) / 342 ×100% = 51.5%
