One second is equivalent to 1/3600 of an hour. Assuming that the object travels with a constant velocity of 30 mph, in one second, it would travel:

30 miles/h * (1/3600) = 1/120 mile or 0.0134 km or 13.4 meters.

You would just have to multiply the velocity with the elapsed time. I hope I was able to help you with your problem. Have a good day!
