(-6,10) to (-6,6) is distance of 4 down
(-6,6) to (2,6) is distance of 8 right
(-6,10) to (2,10) is distance of 8 right
(2,10) to (2,6) is distance of  4 down

length is 8 and width is 4
area=legnth times width=4*8=32 square units
