solve for x in terms of a,b and c ax+b=c

ax + b = c        Subtract b from both sides
      ax = c - b   Divide both sides by a
        x = [tex] \frac{c - b}{a} [/tex]

So what your going to want to do is
1) add minus b from one side  ax+b=c to  ax=c-b
2) Divide ax by a
3) the ending equation should be X=   c-b over a
